This is a gentle, circular project where kimono are reborn in new forms.
I once received an old kimono from someone special.
From that kimono, I remade one piece and passed it on to one of my students.
Later, that student offered her own old undergarment, saying,
“Please let someone else use this next.”
That undergarment was then passed on to another student.
As each kimono passes from hand to hand,
it carries warmth, care, and a story.
That small circle of kindness became the beginning of the Kimono Relay.
